Reputation management in Grande Prairie.
In a market where everybody knows somebody, your reviews are the reference check. They also happen to be one of the strongest signals deciding whether you appear in the map pack at all.
Everybody checks before they call.
Your rating is read before your website, your pricing or your years in business. Four stars from a steady stream of recent customers will beat five stars from six people in 2019, every single time.
Recency matters more than most owners expect. A profile whose newest review is two years old reads as a business that slowed down, whatever the average says.
Volume matters too, and so does the reply. A calm, specific response to a complaint is read by everybody who comes after, and it often does more good than the complaint did harm. Silence reads as agreement.
What does not work is the shortcut. Fake reviews, review gating that only asks happy customers, incentives. Google catches all three, the penalties land on your profile, and around here somebody will notice anyway.
How reputation gets managed.
Asking properly, replying always, and handling the bad ones in public.

A simple way to ask
A short link and a habit built into how you finish a job, so reviews arrive steadily instead of in one burst that looks exactly like what it is.
-
Every review answered
Good and bad. It is a ranking signal, it is read by future customers and it is the only chance you get to tell your side.
-
A plan for the bad one
Written before you need it, so the response goes out calm rather than at eleven at night. Policy breaking reviews get reported properly, and genuine ones get answered.
-
Watched across the places that matter
Google first by a distance, then Facebook and whichever industry sites your customers actually read.
-
Proof used on the site
Real reviews shown on the pages where people decide, with the rating in schema markup so it can appear in search results.
-
Nothing bought or gated
No incentives, no filtering out unhappy customers, no purchased reviews. All three are against Google policy and all three come back on you.
Four steps, no mystery.
Marketing gets sold as a mystery.
Jargon, dashboards nobody opens, and a bill that never quite explains itself.
This runs the opposite way.
You always know what was done, why it was done and what it changed.
Same four steps, every month.
Nothing starts until you have seen the plan and said yes.
Reputation work, in their words.

Very thankful we did, the quality of the design is far superior to our competitors and we started generating some phone calls from it within a week of launch. If you’re searching for someone to do web design…stop your search and hire them, you won’t regret it!

The usual questions.
Can you remove a negative Google review?
Only if it breaks Google policy, and those get reported properly. A genuine bad review cannot be deleted. The realistic answer is a good public reply and enough recent honest reviews that one bad one reads as an outlier.
Is it against the rules to ask customers for reviews?
No. Asking is allowed and encouraged. What is not allowed is paying for them, offering something in exchange, or only asking the customers you expect to be happy.
How many reviews do I need?
More than the businesses above you in the map pack, and arriving steadily. The count matters less than the pattern, and a profile that gains a few every month outperforms one that got thirty in a week two years ago.
Do reviews affect where I rank?
Yes. Volume, rating, recency and whether you respond all feed local ranking. They also affect how many people who see you actually tap call, which is the part that pays.
