Website redesign in Grande Prairie.

Your site already earns something. A redesign should add to that, not reset it. Every page you rank for gets mapped to its new home before launch, so the day after go live is busier than the day before.

Most redesigns quietly cost you rankings.

The scariest thing about a redesign is not the design. It is the week after launch, when the calls stop and nobody can tell you why, because two hundred URLs changed and nothing was redirected.

Ten years of a site being online builds up something real. Pages that rank, links from other sites, a Google Business Profile pointing at a specific URL. All of it is attached to addresses, and a rebuild that changes those addresses without mapping them throws the lot away.

It is completely avoidable. The mapping takes an afternoon and gets done before anything goes live, which is why a redesign done properly should look like a step up in traffic rather than a dip you spend six months climbing out of.

How a rebuild stays safe.

A redesign is mostly a migration wearing a nicer coat. Here is the part that actually protects you.

  1. Everything you rank for gets found first

Before design starts, we pull every URL on the current site, what each one ranks for and what links to it. That list is the map, and nothing launches until every row on it has a destination.

  2. Redirects written, not guessed

Every old address points to its closest new one with a permanent redirect. No redirect chains, no lazy blanket rule sending the whole site to the home page, which is the single most common way a rebuild loses traffic.

  3. The content that works is kept

Pages already bringing in traffic get carried across and tidied, not thrown out because they were written a while ago. New writing goes where there is an actual gap.

  4. A design that fits the business now

The site gets rebuilt around what you sell today, on a layout drawn for phones, with the calls to action where people are actually looking rather than where the old theme put them.

  5. Speed as part of the rebuild

Rebuilding is the cheapest moment to fix load time, because the weight comes out during the build instead of being chased afterwards with plugins.

  6. Watched after launch, not abandoned

Search Console, rankings and errors get checked in the weeks after go live, because that is when a missed redirect shows up and that is when it is still trivial to fix.

Four steps, no mystery.

Web design gets sold as a mystery.

This runs the opposite way.

Same four steps, every project.

  1. Step 01 of 04

    Free audit

We look at the site you have now, the businesses ranking above you and what people in your area are actually typing into Google. You get a plain read on what it is costing you. No charge and no obligation.

  2. Step 02 of 04

    Plan and quote

One page, plain language. What gets built, what it costs and when it goes live. The number on that page is the number you pay, and nothing starts until you say so.

  3. Step 03 of 04

    Design and build

You see the direction before a line of code is written, and you get to change your mind while changing it is cheap. Then it gets built mobile first, fast, with the SEO structure in from the start rather than bolted on later.

  4. Step 04 of 04

    Launch and look after

Redirects checked, analytics wired up, Google Business Profile pointed at the new site. After that hosting, backups and edits are handled, so the thing stays fast instead of quietly rotting.

Redesigns, in their words.

The usual questions.

Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings?

It will if URLs change and nothing is redirected, which is how most redesigns go wrong. Done properly, every old address is mapped and permanently redirected before launch, so the rankings and links you already earned move with you.

Can you keep my existing content?

Yes, and usually we should. Pages that already bring in traffic get kept and tidied rather than binned. New writing goes where there is a real gap, not everywhere for the sake of it.

My site is on WordPress. Do I have to move off it?

Not necessarily. Sometimes the right answer is a clean rebuild on modern static hosting that loads faster and costs less to run, and sometimes it is fixing what you have. The free audit tells you which one you are looking at.

How long does a redesign take?

About four to six weeks for a typical local business site, plus a little more if the old site is large and the URL mapping is long. You get the timeline before we start.

Is it worth redesigning if my site is only a few years old?

Sometimes not, and you will be told that. If it is fast, ranks and converts, the money is better spent elsewhere. The audit is free precisely so that answer costs you nothing.

Will my email and domain be affected?

No. Email stays where it is and the domain stays yours. The switch is planned so the site changes over without a gap and without anything else on the domain going down.
